How to make Coconut Paste (Kerisik) (video)

200 gm Pure Creamed Coconut - sold in boxes in local supermarkets






In a microwave safe container, microwave the creamed coconut on high for 3 ½ minutes. Stir and microwave another 1 ½ minutes.

It should be a light brown colour and not burnt

Stir and microwave a further 1 minute. Repeat until a nice brown colour.


Kerisik is ready for use. Or can be frozen for future use.
