Onion Fritters (cekodok bawang) (video)

Ingredients

2 Onions

1 Egg

A handful of anchovies (bilis) - soaked

Salt to taste

Baking powder (optional)

Water for blending

Flour - added to get the right consistency for deep frying


All blended together to the right consistency.


Cooking oil



Using a spoon, drop the mix into the deep medium heat oil. Turn the fritters around to cook both sides. When slightly brown, you can drain and serve with chilly sauce. Check out my recipe for homemade chilly sauce.
